Ethara plans full steam ahead for a vibrant events calendar in 2026 and 2027

In an exclusive interview with Arabian Business, Ethara Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer David Powell affirmed Ethara continues planning for a vibrant events calendar in 2026 and 2027.

Powell explained that after a natural impact on live events, including the rescheduling of some shows, audiences are now regaining confidence. Ethara’s operations and readiness continued, anticipating the rising audience demand.

Major upcoming events in Ethara’s calendar are underway, including the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and its accompanying Yasalam concert series, as well as international performances such as Christina Aguilera.

“There is something inherently powerful about shared, in-person experiences… in moments of uncertainty, this becomes even more important,” Powell said.
He also touches on the wider landscape, with broader ecosystem developments, including new cultural landmarks on Saadiyat Island, expected to support demand.
