Multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning global icon Ricky Martin is the latest musician confirmed for the 2025–2026 edition of Saadiyat Nights, Abu Dhabi’s flagship open-air concert series on Saadiyat Island.

The Puerto Rican superstar will make his debut in the UAE capital on 31 January 2026, bringing his trademark Latin pop sound and unmatched stage presence to Abu Dhabi for the first time since his career took off some 30-plus years ago with the release of his eponymous debut album in 1991.

Recognised worldwide as the “King of Latin Pop” and honoured in 2025 with the first Latin Icon Award at the MTV Video Music Awards, Martin has been a driving force in bringing Latin music and culture to the global mainstream. His appearance at the VMAs, where he went viral after performing his greatest hits including the timeless Livin’ la Vida Loca, reaffirmed his status as a generational icon whose music transcends time and borders. Just last week, Livin’ la Vida Loca returned to the top of Billboard’s Latin Digital Song Sales chart (week of September 20, 2025), more than 25 years after its original release, a milestone that underscores the enduring power of his music. His discography has earned him more than 180 awards and cemented his place as one of the most influential artists of his generation.

Martin’s catalogue of global anthems includes Livin’ la Vida Loca, The Cup of Life, María, Vente Pa’Ca, La Mordidita and Vuelve. His electrifying performance of The Cup of Life at the 1999 Grammy Awards is credited with sparking a new era for Latin artists in the international music industry, while Livin’ la Vida Loca went on to top charts in more than 20 countries. Renowned for his sold-out world tours and charismatic live shows, Martin continues to captivate audiences with unforgettable performances.

Martin joins an exciting Saadiyat Nights line-up that already includes Italian pianist Ludovico Einaudi on 10 January, and Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi on 17 January. Building up to a blockbuster season of music on Saadiyat Island, more acts will be announced in the coming weeks.
