Manar Abu Dhabi is a dazzling public light art exhibition curated by Ethara, in collaboration with the Department of Culture & Tourism – Abu Dhabi. As a flagship initiative under Public Art Abu Dhabi (PAAD), Manar transforms seven iconic locations across the city with mesmerising displays by both local and international artists.

Each piece, whether a light projection, sculpture, installation or performance, has been thoughtfully imagined for its setting, turning familiar sites into scenes of wonder.

These radiant artworks light up places like Lulu, Saadiyat, Jubail, Al Samaliyah and Fahid islands, as well as beloved coastal stretches along Corniche Road and the Eastern mangroves.

Manar, meaning “lighthouse” in Arabic, truly lives up to its name by guiding residents and visitors alike through a journey of discovery. With each creation, the exhibition invites everyone to experience Abu Dhabi’s natural landscapes in enchanting ways. It’s a celebration of the transformative power of light, and for visitors it’s multi-sensory and awe-inspiring, casting the emirate’s coastal beauty in an entirely new perspective.
